Delete my For the Real account
This page explains how to request the deletion of your For the Real (FT Real) account and your personal data, in accordance with the GDPR and App Store rules.

1. From the app (recommended)
- Open the For the Real app.
- Go to the Profile tab → “My data & privacy”.
- Tap “Delete my account”, then confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent.
2. By email
If you no longer have access to the app, write to us from your account’s email address at privacy@forthereal.app. No sign-in is required. We acknowledge receipt within 72 hours and process the request within 30 days at most (usually within 72 hours).
What data is deleted
- Your account and your profile (email, name, level, handicap, date of birth).
- Your swing videos and the related comments.
- Your rounds, scores and progress data.
- Your profile photo, your “likes” and your reports.
What is kept, and why
- Comments left on other members’ posts remain visible but anonymized (“Deleted user”), so as not to disrupt their conversations.
- Invoices and purchase history are kept for 10 years (legal accounting obligation) and managed by our payment providers.
Active subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased on the App Store. Remember to turn off automatic renewal in your Apple account settings before deleting your account.
